R6S bricked.... how to unbrick it

Hi all,

I have a R6S, which has been working very well until recently. When I tried to flash with github mj22226/openwrt frimware, it wont boot anymore. The sys LED will stay on solid without blinking anymore.

I tried to follow instruction on the wiki to download the mini loader again, wiped out eMMC. Still could not boot from Micro SD.

Can we still bring it back?

Thanks for any help!!

Try re-burning using USB A to A.

Tried to flash with RKDevTool v3.19 and v2.84, both complained the img files not being correctly tagged? I have no idea how to fix that. I tried with almost all FriendlyELEC img files, none worked.

Thanks.

May I ask if you burned the SD based on this? Which firmware was burned?

Burning via USB:which image is being burned? What does the burning software show you?

Hi Charles,

Thanks for helping. I managed to bring the R6s back. Now it is booting from eMMC again. Flash through the USB A to A worked. I do not really understand what different this time around but it worked. Thanks for offering help.
