Just got a NanoPC-T6 and while I’m new to this I’ve worked with Linux, etc for 30+ years. I’m using the disk imaging tool to flash the eflasher images (have tried the USB ones on a USB drive as well) yet the NanoPC-T6 never boots from the SD card, it will ONLY boot into Android that came pre-installed on it.
I see no way to get into BIOS, etc. or select anything to boot from - the instructions are very simple so I’m not sure what I’m missing. I’ve also tried using other tools, namely Rufus, to flash the images and boot that way - and also tried booting from USB. In all cases it just boots straight into Android.
I guess I should have been far more specific - of course I’ve read the Wiki pages, many many times. And of course I’ve used the image burning software from the Wiki, and I’ve pre-formatted it (which shouldn’t matter at all given it gets repartitioned when the image is transferred). I’ve used both the tool that is provided, Rufus and DD - when I test the image on another machine it boots fine - the problem is the NanoPC-T6 won’t boot from SD.
I’ve been chatting with a guy on Reddit who’s been rather helpful, next I’m going to use the USB-C port to connect directly to the box and flash it that way. It seems the ancient version of Android that’s installed is sorta the problem, so far I’ve not heard of anyone that had a device come with that installed, I was expecting Ubuntu or OpenWRT. Either way that shouldn’t be hard, so long as the docs are correct and everything works as it should.
