LinkPI USB Flash Firmware Update Failed - Device Dead?

Hello, I have a LinkPi ENC5-V2. While performing a firmware update by the USB flash method, the process became stuck for a long time. Now, the device will not power up at all. The display is blank, there is no HDMI output signal, no leds on the front panel, and I cannot access the main interface through the network connection. It will not allow me to perform the flash update again. The unit seems dead, other than one small white led inside.

Have you try this ?

If this method doesn’t work, please check the device again via the serial port.

If there is output, reprogramming the device via UART may restore its functionality.

This is what I was attempting to do when the system froze. It never completed the firmware installation and was stuck during updating. After powering off, it will not power on again.

I don’t understand what you are suggesting. Can you please explain what steps you would like me to do? I do not know what UART programming is, or how to do it.

You may consider returning the item so that an engineer can repair it for you, or you can repair it yourself.

If you choose to repair it yourself, you will need to purchase a USB-to-TTL adapter. We will provide a tutorial or live video guide to help you repair the device using a computer.

If you need live assistance, please provide your order number or the source of your purchase to support@youyeetoo.com

or contact customer service directly at the store where you made your purchase.

If I choose to repair it myself, can you suggest an appropriate USB to TTL adapter for purchase (preferably from Amazon)? If I fail to repair it myself, can I still return it for an engineer to repair?

If I choose to return the device for repair by an engineer, where will I be sending it, and what is the cost?

yes.

You can search for CH340, basically everything will work.
When repairing by yourself, please be careful not to connect the wrong wiring sequence.

Of course, you can contact the store where you placed the order for more help.

Thank you very much! I will purchase the CH340 adapter you suggested. Can you please provide step by step instructions, photo tutorial and/or a video guide for me to follow?
