Issue flashing LinkPi ENC3 V1 encoder — screen won’t turn on after update

Iam contacting you regarding a serious issue with my LinkPi ENC3 V1 encoder after attempting a firmware update.

I followed the flashing instructions from your official documentation:

Steps I followed:

I downloaded the latest firmware package from your website.

I formatted a USB drive as FAT32, single partition.

I extracted all the firmware files directly into the root directory of the USB drive (not inside any folder).

I powered off the encoder, inserted the USB drive into the USB port.

I pressed and held the DEF (RESET) button while powering on the encoder.

Unfortunately, after powering it on:

The screen remains black (no “UPDATING” message or any display).

No video signal via HDMI.

The encoder does not respond to ping or SSH.

Only an internal LED turns on.

I have tried:

Using different USB drives (all properly formatted).

Re-downloading and re-extracting the firmware files.

Holding the DEF button longer or shorter.

But the encoder remains unresponsive.

Questions:

Is there any alternative method to force a recovery or reflashing?

Is there a way to check if the USB drive is being detected?

I would appreciate your assistance to recover the device.

Try formatting your U Disk with this software.

If this fails to resolve the issue, please provide more pictures or videos of the status of the device.

I used the application you gave me and it doesn’t work, it’s still the same. I insert the USB drive into the encoder, turn it on, press the reset button, and the screen doesn’t light up. However, as you can see, the internal green light of the encoder turns on — meaning it’s receiving power — but it never boots up. I removed the cover so it can be seen more clearly

If your screen doesn’t show the logo, the uboot firmware might be lost.

Do you have a USB to TTL adapter board?

Let’s try to re-burn the uboot firmware.

If not, please buy one or contact after-sales at the purchase channel to send the goods back.

Yes, I have this one. I tried connecting, but I don’t know if I’m doing it right. Could you give me a step-by-step guide or is there an online tutorial?
