I noticed in the bios menu that there are settings for using an external graphics card. What kind of eGPU work with the X1?
I recently acquired a Nvidia 950M card which is a bit odd. It has an M.2 connection rather than an MXM connection. This fits perfectly in the X1’s E key slot. However, I cannot seem to get the X1 to detect the card.
It is labeled as for the HP Envy 27-B - 904730-001
I also have a few MXM cards I tried that did not get detected including a 980M and a 7170 ATI card.
What would be the correct settings or updates to get an eGPU to work? Or are there only certain kinds that would work?
