Documentation on using TF-Luna with the included USB to TTL adapter?

I found the documentation on using the TF-Luna directly with the Raspberry PI but could not find any documentation on how to use it with the included USB to TTL adapter. Nor can I find any example software to use it with the USB adapter. Any pointers?
