I have installed a SH1.25 2PIN CR2032 in the RTC connector on the underside of the board. CMOS still resets to defaults and time date 1/1/2018 when power removed. Is there a trick to getting this setup in bios that allows the battery to save cmos data on loss of power?
There are no special settings that need to be set up.
You can see if your battery still has power.
Yes. This was a brand new battery and it was in fact dead. SMH. Purchases another and all is working now.
